behavioral health Department

Behavioral Health also known as Mental Health addresses all of those things that have taken place in a person’s life that shaped he/she into the person they are today and many of us find that we do not function quite like we should or want to.  Behavioral health provides the tools an individual needs to cope with stressors that life throws at you and gives an individual that safe space they need to process what has taken place in their life.  We are trained to be able to hold these things and help individuals view them from a different perspective.  Improving your mental health helps an individual be more successful and get along with others, as well as improving their physical health through the process.

Mental Health Therapy

Anyone can benefit from mental health therapy; it is not just for a person who has hallucinations or delusions or wants to harm themselves.  It is for the person who thinks that they are not good enough, the person who does not like their job, the person who is not getting along with their spouse or a kid who is being bullied or not doing well in school.  There are a million reasons a person could come to therapy. CHET is dedicated to keeping therapy sessions confidential. We want patients to feel as comfortable as possible, knowing they can openly share with their therapist. Being comfortable with your therapist is key for mental health improvement.

CHET’s Services & Diagnosis

CHET offers individual therapy and can provide family therapy, couples counseling and potentially can offer group therapy.  We also often utilize student interns to provide services for our underserved community, which also helps with those without insurance and on a limited income.  We can also provide medication management in support of therapy services.

CHET’s staff is trained to diagnose and treat any mental health diagnosis. CHET’s mental health staff includes social workers, psychiatric nurse practitioners and a psychiatrist. We are trained to handle several disorders, from depression, life changes, anxiety, ADHD, to trauma and addiction and much more.  We are not equipped to handle individuals who are actively suicidal or require frequent hospitalization.

Mental Health Therapy can be beneficial for individuals of any age.
