Allstate Foundation’s Moving Ahead Through Financial Management is a 15 yr proven curriculum that has been validated through Rutgers University. The course is designed to educate participants in:
Financial Information & Terminology
Saving Strategies
Budgeting Skills
Banking Options
Understanding and Improving your Credit Score
Housing and Loans
Long-term Planning; including retirement, investments and insurance
Financial Abuse Awareness
Financial/Economic Abuse is a recognized but yet not very well known form of domestic violence. 99% of Domestic Violence Victims experience Financial Abuse even if they do not recognize it at the time it is occurring since there is a lack of awareness of this abuse in our current world. It is often the 1st tactic used to gain control. Financial Abuse has no race, gender, age nor social or economic status.
Financial Abuse may not leave visible bruises but it is just as devastating as any other form of abuse. It reduces the victims financial confidence, may ruin their credit and may leave them without the means for financial security.
This program’s ultimate goal is Financial Abuse prevention through improving awareness and empowering individuals through financial education to improve their lives today and to enhance their tomorrow. Knowledge is Power!!
